NEW SECURITY RESTRICTIONS FOR 2017

In additions to our previous terms and conditions, please be aware that the current security climate means there’ll be additional restrictions for Lovebox 2017.

Everyone attending the event is likely to be subject to a search; this may include pat-downs and/or metal detector checks, and some people may be asked to part in enhanced searches. In the unlikely event that you refuse to take part in a search, you will be not be admitted into the festival.

Backpacks, larger purses or bags are not allowed; only bags no larger than A4 size will be allowed into the Park.

If you really must bring a bag, there is a locker service which will allow you to leave it in a secure location outside the arena. Please note this service is operated independently of MAMA Festivals, and is of fixed capacity.

Luggage to be deposited with this service will be subject to a security check and may be refused or confiscated if it contains illegal or unauthorised items. For information and pre-bookings contact https://ilocker.co.uk/.

No liquids will be allowed into the event. Empty water bottles may be brought into the arena, but anything else will be disposed of by security staff. People travelling with toiletries are advised to use the locker service above.

We’ll make available a bicycle park within the site environs (but outside the arena), but please don’t bring bikes with panniers or saddlebags fitted – if you need to bring a bag, please follow the advice above and pre-book to avoid disappointment.
As ever; if you see or hear anything which gives you a security concern, please speak to the nearest member of security staff or Police officer.

VOLUNTEERING

War Child is striving for a world with no child’s life torn apart by conflict. War Child protects, educates and stands up for the rights of children caught up in conflict. The charity aims to reach children as early as possible when conflict breaks out, and stays to support them through their recovery – helping to keep them safe, give them an education, and equip them with skills for the future.

Volunteering to be a steward at Lovebox or donating will support War Child’s work with Syrian children to access education, reintegrating child soldiers in the Central African Republic and promoting justice for young people in detention in Afghanistan. War Child, together with its partners, works in 15 countries across Africa, Asia and the Middle East, and Latin America
You can help them today by volunteering to be a steward at Lovebox – click here to apply.
Or donate here.

War Child will be running our stewarding operations again this year. The registration process is now open, you can apply here.

ACCESSIBILITY

Lovebox welcomes deaf and disabled guests, and we’re working harder than ever to make the show as accessible as possible. We operate a 2 for 1 (free carer ticket) policy for eligible customers.

Lovebox is on a green-field site with some tarmac paths. While there are some sheltered areas (marquees) it is mainly an open-air event. Weather and ground conditions may be variable and in times of extreme weather, mobility on the site may become very difficult. We ask you to consider this before purchasing a ticket. The festival takes place in a large area of the park to the East of Grove Road. There is limited blue-badge parking. More information about site layout can be made available on request from mid June onwards.

In order to book your accessible tickets please call the Accessible Ticketing Team on 0800 988 4440.

FAMILY INFO

Families are very welcome at Lovebox, and under 12s go free. Everyone 12 or over must have a ticket and all under 18s must be accompanied by a person aged 18 or over.

Please note that there is a maximum of 4 under 18s to every person aged 18 or over, and a maximum of 4 under 12s to every person aged 18 or over.

ALTERNATIVE FORMATS FOR INFORMATION

All forms and information are available in large print upon request, click the contact tab at the bottom for more information.

HEARING LOOPS

There is a hearing loop at the Accessible check-in point, the location of this will be made clear in the access info.

LOVE THY NEIGHBOURS

We are pleased to have this event in Victoria Park. We can only do so with the support of the local community, so please respect our neighbours by arriving and leaving peacefully and quietly. Do not drop litter and please use the portable toilets provided.

TENT CAPACITIES

All of the tented stages at Lovebox have a maximum capacity that, by law, we cannot exceed. If you want to see a particular artist, please arrive early to the stage to avoid disappointment. Once the tents have reached capacity we will be enforcing a one in one out policy. If you cannot gain access, we recommend you go and enjoy an act at an alternative stage. You never know – you may just discover your new favourite artist.

PETS

Pets are strictly prohibited at Lovebox. Please don’t bring your furry friend – we don’t reckon they’d enjoy themselves anyway. Assistance dogs, however, are permitted.

FOOD & DRINK

We have a number of bars onsite selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Lovebox operates the ‘Challenge 21’ policy. If you look under 21 please do not be offended if we ask you for proof of age when you buy alcohol. Please bring proof of ID to show you are 18 or over. We accept the following forms of Identification:

• Current Passport
• Current UK Driver’s Licence or Provisional Licence

Plus the following cards (part of the PASS Scheme)
• VALIDATE UK (must be a pass card with a hologram – details on www.pass-scheme.org.uk)
• CitizenCard

We all love a cider or three, but please enjoy alcohol responsibly. You don’t want to have one too many and risk ruining your day.
Please do not buy alcohol for persons under the age of 18. If you do you risk being ejected from the festival.

LOST PROPERTY

Please email us at lovebox.lostproperty@mamaco.com.

LEAVING THE FESTIVAL

Lovebox takes place in a beautiful park in the middle of the East End of London. Please respect the neighbourhood and our neighbours by leaving quickly and quietly. Please drop your litter in the bins, not the floor, and use the toilets provided. If you need directing to toilets or transport links, please ask one of the stewards on the routes to and from the park. Thanks for helping us out.

THIEVES SEE YOUR POSSESSIONS DIFFERENTLY – PLEASE TAKE CARE WHEN THEY ARE ON SHOW. Don’t display valuables.
