How do I get to Lovebox at Dreamland?

Lovebox will be held at Dreamland Margate on Friday 29th & Saturday 30th May.

Arriving By Train: 

Dreamland is just a short walk from Margate train station.
Entrance to this event will be along Hall By The Sea Road. Walk along, following the signs to the outdoor event entrance, where you will join the ingress queue lanes.
The train from London St Pancras takes 90 minutes and a little longer from Victoria, and it’s just 50 minutes from Ashford International station. Southeastern will be running later trains from Margate. Please see below for last train times with Southeastern.

Arriving By Car: 

There are two car parks close to Dreamland.  If you park in the multi storey car park, please walk towards Dreamland, then down Hall By The Sea Road and follow the signs to the Outdoor event entrance.  If you park in the Belgrave Road Car Park, please walk out of the car park and down Hall By The Sea Road, following the directional signage and join the queue lanes.
The car parks are operated and managed by Smart Parking. You can pay for parking using the machines in the car parks, or the Ringo app.  Please ensure you have paid for ample time, as fines will be issued by Smart Parking for late returns.


Arriving by Coach:

The coaches will stop at Belgrave Road Car Park.  Please walk out of the car park and walk down Hall By The Sea Road, following the directional signage and join the ingress queues.

VIP / Accessible Entrance: 

The VIP queue lane can be accessed from Hall By The Sea Road.

The Accessible queue lane can be accessed from both Hall By The Sea Road and Belgrave Road Car Park.  Please follow the directional signage and please speak to a member of the Dreamland team, or our security providers if you have any questions at all.

Where are the exits for Lovebox?

At the end of this event, the exit will be via the Belgrave Road Car Park. Please follow directional signage and speak to a member of the team if you have any questions.

Is there an age restriction for Lovebox?

This event is classified as 18+ and valid ID will be required for all attendees.

 

Do I need ID for the Lovebox event?

Yes. This event is 18+ and ID is required. Anyone visibly under the age of 25 will be asked for ID. Acceptable forms of photo ID to prove your age:
• A photo driving licence
• A passport
• A proof of age card, such as the PASS card from the national Proof of Age Standards Scheme.

Can I bring my baby to Lovebox?
No, we cannot permit babies or children at events with age restriction of 18+

Are there any items I can’t bring to Lovebox?

Before you read the list below, please make sure you leave bags larger than A4, umbrellas, picnic blankets and chairs at home.  Items may be confiscated and will be disposed of by the venue staff.

 

Balaclavas/masks/helmets, alcohol, bags larger than A4 (21 x 29.7), lasers, chairs (including camping chairs and stools), spray cans (including deodorant), professional cameras, glass, illegal substances, large metal refillable bottles and flasks, flags/banners/poles, pyrotechnics and fireworks, laptops/tablets/audio recording devices, unmanned aerial systems, skateboard/rollerblades/bicycles, air horns, megaphones, animals (other than assistance dogs) weapons, selfie sticks, umbrellas, knives of any kind, including pen knives and small pen knives on key rings, any goods for unauthorised trading with unauthorised logos, balloons, clothing/garments/items which promote cultural appropriation, cool bags/boxes, perfume and makeup (over 100ml), sound systems, unofficial tabards and reflective/high vis jackets, disposable bbqs.

 

Please note that guests will have to pass through security and bag searches to enter all ticketed events and any items deemed to be dangerous by the venue manager will be confiscated.

All items are subject to change without notice by venue management.

Can I bring a bag with me to Lovebox?

Sorry – no bags are permitted.

For events at Dreamland, bags larger than A4 (21 x 29.7) size are not permitted at the venue. We advise all event goers to bring as little with them as possible when attending events, unless there are specific medical reasons which mean you need to bring a larger bag. If this is the case, please email the team at customerservices@dreamland.co.uk prior to the event you are attending for further advice.


Why did Dreamland adopt a bag policy?

It’s all related to safety and helps us to improve security inside the venue. It also helps with the speed of security search procedure on entry to Dreamland.

Will there be searches at the Lovebox event?

Searches will be carried out at all live music events.  Please refer to the list of prohibited items prior to entering the queue lanes.  Please note that bags bigger than A4, refillable flasks and bottles, umbrellas and chairs are not permitted into the venue.

You may be ejected from or not permitted to enter Dreamland and required to surrender any Tickets you hold, without refund, if you refuse:

(a) to leave a Prohibited Item with our stewards;

(b) to be searched; and/or

(c) in our reasonable opinion, you or your behaviour, or any item you are carrying might:

  • pose a health and safety risk;
  • affect the enjoyment of other visitors;
  • affect the running of the Event;
  • cause damage to or interfere with the property of Dreamland or the Organisers;
  • be in breach of these Venue Terms or the Ticket Terms;
  • be illegal;
  • lead to a breach of any licensing conditions applicable at the Venue; or
  • be in breach of any rules and regulations exhibited on notices at the Venue, such as (without limitation)

In order to ensure the security, safety and comfort of all visitors, we reserve the right at our reasonable discretion to refuse your admission to, or to eject you from, the relevant Venue without compensation or refund.

 

Will there be a confiscation box at Lovebox?

The security team may confiscate items on entry, any confiscated items will not be returned at the end of the event and will be disposed of by the venue.

What security measures will you have in place at Lovebox?

Dreamland is a responsible licenced event venue where the safety and security of our guests is a top priority.

The event management team, together with our security and medical providers, work closely with the emergency services to provide a safe place from which to enjoy live entertainment.

Each event is risk assessed and audience profiled to ensure we have relevant security measures in place. These details are communicated to Kent Police in advance of the event and can include covert officers, drug detection dogs, general purpose patrol dogs, various levels of personal and bag searches, age identification and Security Industry Authority (SIA) officers.

Our entire site is covered by CCTV which is viewed and recorded from a dedicated Operations Control. Additionally, all our security officers wear Body Worn Video devices.

We urge our guests to help us ensure that Dreamland maintains its high standards of safety by alerting a member of staff or security should you see something that doesn’t look right or an incident that should be brought to our attention.

What is included with a VIP ticket to Lovebox?

This is a ticket giving access to:

  • Our VIP Platform Area
  • Express queuing on venue entry
  • VIP toilets
  • Access to exclusive VIP bar area & food vendors

 

Please note, food and drink will be charged separately at the event and are not included with this ticket.

Will there be Food traders at Lovebox?

There will be a selection of street food traders in the Scenic Stage arena.

Can I bring food & drink with me to the Lovebox?
  • Outside food and drink are not permitted in the venue. Don’t worry — we have food traders dishing up delicious eats and there’s plenty of bars available.
  • We have a number of Hydration Stations inside the venue where guests can access water for free.
  • If you have a medical condition, a doctor’s note will allow diet-specific food and drink only. 
Is there seating at Lovebox?

Dreamland is a standing only venue. We are unable to allow guests to bring in any form of portable seating to our live music events. Portable seating will be confiscated at the entry point and disposed of by the venue management team. The only seating provided is on the accessible platform, which is strictly for accessible platform ticket holders only. If you need to sit down during this event, please speak to a member of the Dreamland Event Management team on site, who will endeavour to help you.

Is there a disabled access area for Lovebox?

Our outdoor venue is accessible and is mainly level. The paths are either block paved or gravel / sand paths.  For Accessible Platform ticket holders, please head to the VIP / Accessible area, which can be reached via the slight slope by Rosco’s Ice Cream van.  Please ask a member of the Dreamland team if you need any assistance.

Can I bring my medication with me to the Lovebox event?

If you need to take medication, please ensure you bring the relevant prescription with you or have access to the NHS app which will show the relevant details.  All medications including over the counter medications such as Paracetamol will need to be checked with the medical team on site, prior to entry. If there is no relevant prescription the medication will be confiscated.

Please only bring the required amount of medication for the event period in the original manufacturers packaging. If you have specific medication which requires refrigeration this can also be stored at the Medical Centre on site and must be labelled with the customer’s name and contact details.

Will there be haze/strobe at Lovebox?

Many of our events are managed by external promoters and so we often do not have full details of exactly what the production will involve until very close to the day of the show. Most of our events will contain flashing lights and use of haze as standard. We make every effort to advertise on doors of the event if this is the case.

Can I use cash at Lovebox?

Dreamland is cashless, please pay using card or contactless methods.

I lost something at the Lovebox event who do I contact?

If you’ve lost something whilst with us, please send an e mail to our customer services team on customerservices@dreamland.co.uk and they’ll search lost property to see if it has been handed in.

What is your eviction policy?

The Event is produced for the enjoyment of all attendees. We reserve the right to evict anyone from site for the reasons outlined below. The decision whether to evict will be at the discretion of the Eviction Team / Security Coordinator following advice from security personnel.

Reasons for eviction:

a) Entering or being inside the Event without a ticket or relevant pass/ wristband;

b) Unacceptable and or disruptive and or anti-social and or criminal behaviour; *

c) Having been arrested or cautioned in connection with a criminal offence.

* Unacceptable and or disruptive and or anti-social and or criminal behaviour that can lead to eviction includes but is not limited to:

§ activity that would amount to criminal offending (even if no arrest occurs);

§ breaching the terms and conditions of entry;

§ failing to submit to a search as a condition of entry:

§ harassing or causing distress to staff or other attendees including (but not limited to) sexual harassment, discrimination, abusive behaviour, and offensive language;

 

§ filming or photographing staff and other event attendees in a manner likely to constitute harassment or cause distress

§ throwing any objects in the direction of people or Event property;

§ inciting or procuring or encouraging others to behave badly or criminally;

§ preventing or attempting to prevent security or emergency responders (including the Police, Ambulance or Fire services) reacting or responding to a situation;

§ building or fuelling fires including throwing gas canisters onto fires;

§ being in possession of illegal drugs;

§ unofficially selling alcohol, tobacco, counterfeit goods or any other unauthorised goods;

§ ticket touting;

§ any other behaviour that leaves the Event (including organisations working at the Event) open to prosecution or is not conducive to maintaining a safe Event.

· We reserve the right to refuse entry to, and/or to evict from the Event, any ticket holder who we become aware is subject to notification requirements set out in the Sexual Offences Act 2003, or who has been convicted of any sexual offence, or any offence relating to public disorder, violence, abuse or criminal damage, or who is subject to a Community Protection Notice (CPN) or Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).

 

· All evictees will be processed via Eviction Team / Security Coordinator, and their wristbands / tickets will be removed to prevent them from re-entering the Event.

· All persons presented for eviction by security will be interviewed by the Eviction Team / Security Coordinator who are independent of security, and their details will be recorded in a database with their full personal details, date and time and the reasons for eviction. A photograph may also be taken.

· All evictees will be able to make a free telephone call if they do not have a mobile phone to contact members of their group and/or family.

· Evictees will need to phone a friend at the Event to collect their belongings before their eviction as they will not be permitted back into the Event to find them. We will not be responsible for ensuring that they leave the Event with their belongings.

· Evictees will receive a letter detailing the eviction process.

· As part of the eviction process, we may process your personal data for purposes as detailed herein and for compliance with legal obligations and to protect the vital interests of festival goers and staff. You can find more information on how we process your data in our Privacy Policy.

· Evictees are liable to receive a life time ban from purchasing tickets or working/volunteering for any LNE / FR Events.
